Non-Metal Core Rubber Tracks Care Tips–4

Reduce Heavy Loaded Turns

Turning under a heavy load increases side loading through the rubber tracks.
Examples include:
Turning while pushing into a pile
Turning under high drawbar load
Turning with a full bucket
Turning while pulling a heavy implement
Turning with a forestry attachment engaged
Turning while one track is against an obstacle
Turning across a slope
Machine balance also matters.
An uneven or poorly balanced machine can place more load through one part of the track system.

A Better Approach

Where the task allows:
Complete or reduce the push or pull.
Put the attachment into the approved travel position.
Reduce travel speed.
Complete the turn.
Re-enter the work area in a straighter line.
Not every cycle allows this.
The goal is to avoid combining maximum load, maximum power, and the sharpest possible turn when a smoother approach will complete the same work.
